I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
